LA BELLA Y LA BESTIA, de Disney, es una adaptación de acción real de la película animada, que revive a los queridos personajes del clásico cuento de Disney para una audiencia contemporánea, manteniendo la música original e incorporando varias nuevas canciones.
Dirigida por el ganador del Oscar® Bill Condon y basada en la película animada homónima de 1991, el guion pertenece a Evan Spiliotopoulos, Bill Condon y Stephen Chbosky, y cuenta con la producción de David Hoberman y Todd Lieberman, de Mandeville Films. El ganador de ocho Oscar Alan Menken, quien recibió dos estatuillas (Mejor Guion Original y Mejor Canción) por el film animado de 1991, es el creador de la música incidental, que incluirá también nuevas canciones escritas por Menken y Howard Ashman, así como otras compuestas por Menken y Tim Rice, ganador de tres Oscar®. LA BELLA Y LA BESTIA llegará a los cines en marzo de 2017.
